article : The Basics of Online Trading
Have you ever thought about online trading? Would you like the
opportunity to get in on a market that has the potential for a lot
of profit? If so, then maybe the stock market is for you. Now that
you can trade online, it is even easier for people to participate.
Online trading offers you the opportunity with less money needed
to get started and less broker fees. It also allows you more
direct control over what you trade than traditional methods.
Did you know that when people refer to the “stock market” there
are also different types of investments other than just stocks
that you can trade online? Below are some examples of the
different types. You can choose ones that work best for you and
your needs and expectations.
A well balanced portfolio is typically a more successful one so
you might want a good balance between the different types of
trades in your portfolio.
There are different types of trading that can take place online:
• Stocks trading – Trading stocks is one of the most common types
of online trading.
• Options trading- Options are contracts that are given to the
purchaser (you) that give you the right to buy or sell a security
such as a stock at a fixed price and during a specific period.
• Futures trading – Futures are an agreement to sell a particular
commodity for a future date and a set price.
• Commodities trading - Commodities are items that come from
natural sources (gold, cattle, wheat, juice, oil, etc).
• Forex trading - “FOREX” stands for the foreign exchange market
and the global foreign exchange is the biggest market in the
entire world.
• Day trading - Day traders rapidly buy and sell stocks all
through the day hoping that the stocks will continue to climb or
fall in the time that they own them before they quickly sell
again, allowing them to make a quick profit.
Once you learn about all the different types of trading, you can
select one for you. For more great information and hints and tips
